Privacy Policy

Zemara is a music player created by Narrow Path Doctrine Ministries for playing and managing the music stored on your Android device.
Information collected by Narrow Path Doctrine Ministries
Narrow Path Doctrine Ministries does not require a Zemara account and does not operate a Zemara server that receives or stores your music library, playlists, listening history, audio analysis results, or other personal app data. We do not sell personal information.
Music and media on your device
Zemara accesses music and related media that you make available to the app so it can scan, organize, display, search, and play your library. Album artwork and audio metadata may also be read from your music files. This library processing is performed on your device.
If you use Zemara’s tag-editing features, the app may modify metadata or artwork in media files on your device when you explicitly choose to save those changes.
Local app data
Zemara may store information locally on your device in order to provide its features. This can include your library index, playlists, favorites, pinned items, playback state, listening statistics, settings, equalizer settings, Smart Volume measurements, Mix Station analysis, cached artwork, artist and album information, and other app preferences. This information is used by Zemara on your device and is not uploaded to a server operated by Narrow Path Doctrine Ministries.
Internet-based features and third-party services
Some Zemara features use an internet connection. These may include retrieving music metadata, album artwork, artist images, artist or album information, accessing external links, downloading the free “The Narrow Path” album, and using compatible casting features.
When Zemara connects directly to a third-party service, that service may receive technical information normally associated with an internet request, such as your IP address. Third-party services are governed by their own privacy policies and practices. Zemara may use services or data sources such as Last.fm, MusicBrainz, Wikidata/Wikipedia, GitHub, and Google Cast where applicable.
Nearby devices and casting
If you use casting, Zemara may use Android permissions or network access needed to discover and communicate with compatible devices on your local network. Narrow Path Doctrine Ministries does not receive a record of the devices you discover or use for casting.
Notifications
Zemara may use Android notifications for music playback controls and related player functions. Notification permission does not give Narrow Path Doctrine Ministries access to your notifications or personal information.
Data sharing
Narrow Path Doctrine Ministries does not sell or share your Zemara music library, playlists, listening history, or locally stored app data with advertisers or data brokers. Information exchanged directly with third-party services as part of an internet-based feature is subject to those services’ own policies.
Data security and deletion
Because Zemara’s primary app data is stored locally, you can remove local app data through Android’s app storage controls or by uninstalling Zemara. Changes that you deliberately save to your own music files, such as edited tags or artwork, are part of those files and are not removed merely by uninstalling the app.
Children’s privacy
Narrow Path Doctrine Ministries does not knowingly collect personal information from children through Zemara.
Changes to this policy
This privacy policy may be updated as Zemara changes. Any revision will be posted on this page with an updated date.
